With the application SnapCrab for Windows, you can capture whatever is displayed on your computer’s screen with a simple mouse click or by pressing a hotkey. If you want to, you can post the screenshot on Twitter, Facebook, or Evernote.

You can install SnapCrab on a PC powered by Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 8. To do so, you must download an executable, run it, and then follow the instructions presented to you by a setup wizard. Said setup wizard will ask you to choose between a Standard Install and a Custom Install, pick if you want to open and run it in system tray at startup, turn on update caption function, and use IE toobar for capturing webpages. Once the installation completes, a “thank you for installing SnapCrab” webpage opens in Internet Explorer.

There are two ways to interact with the SnapCrab application: from the bar that shows up when you launch the application and from the icon in the system tray. Both provide easy access to all the functionality SnapCrab has to offer and both are very easy to figure out.

With SnapCrab, you can capture whatever is displayed on the screen. You can take a screenshot of the whole desktop, of a specific window, or a selected area with a simple mouse click or by using a hotkey. On top of that, you can use SnapCrab to upload screenshots to the micro-blogging site Twitter and social networking site Facebook, or save them to the note-taking application Evernote.

You will not have to part with any of your money to enjoy all the wonderful functionality SnapCrab has to offer. Or to put it in other words, SnapCrab is freeware.

Take a screenshot with ease using the application SnapCrab for Windows. Share it on Facebook or Twitter if you want to.

Pros

Easily get SnapCrab up and running on a Windows-powered PC. Easily access the application’s functionality. Take screenshots, save them, or share them if you want to. SnapCrab is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
